NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y.- After helping the Niagara women’s ice hockey team (2-4-0, 0-0-0 CHA) to two come from behind victories against RPI this past weekend, junior forward Kelsey Welch was named Niagara Student-Athlete of the Week. 

The East Amherst, N.Y. native netted the game-winning goal on Saturday during Niagara’s 3-2 win.  She also contributed two assists Friday evening, pushing the Purple Eagle’s towards an overtime victory. 

The Purple Eagles are back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 18, when they host St. Lawrence (2-0-1, 0-0-0) at 7 p.m.
