NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. - Chris MacKenzie, Niagara alumnus ('00) and former men's hockey standout, has been named head women's hockey coach, as announced by Niagara University's Director of Athletics Ed McLaughlin on Wednesday. MacKenzie will be the second head coach in the history of the program.

Women’s Hockey Forward Mills Scores Niagara Athlete of the Week NIAGARA UN., N.Y. – Women’s hockey sophomore Melanie Mills (Flamborogh, Ont.) was named Niagara University Athlete of the Week for her efforts in Niagara’s first weekend sweep of the season. The forward scored three goals in the pair of victories over Robert Morris, doubling her goal total for the season.

Riggs Named Niagara Athlete of the Week NIAGARA UN., N.Y. – Women’s hockey sophomore Ashley Riggs (Pickering, Ont.) was named Niagara University Athlete of the Week for her efforts in the 2007 European Air Canada Cup. The sophomore forward was named Player of the Game in the Gold Medal Game and landed a spot on the All-Star Team, finishing the tournament with four goals and three assists.
