POMPEY, N.Y. - Former Niagara women’s basketball standout Teresa “T” (Simone) Cleland rolled to a second straight and record fifth title at The Post Standard Women’s Amateur in Central New York. Cleland, who played for the Purple Eagles from 1977-81, won this year’s tournament by seven strokes. Current Purple Eagle golfer Brittany Siechen also took part in the annual tournament.

CELEBRATION, Fla. - The Niagara men's and women's golf teams both completed the first of three rounds at the 2010 MAAC Championships on Friday. Both teams are in last place, as the men's team is in ninth place, while the women's team in in sixth place.
