Why Niagara?
“I like the small campus, for the ability to get to know your professors as well as small class sizes. I chose Niagara also because I liked the pre-med biology program as well as the new science building (Golisano).”
2016 (Junior)
Set personal best of 12:09.03 in 3k at Brockport Mid-Season Classic (placing 6th)…Set personal best of 12:01.93 in 3k at Golden Eagle Invite…Set personal best of 20:26.38 in 5k at Monmouth Season Opener…Set personal best of 5:25.32 in the 1500 at UB Open…Ran 20:28.62 in the 5k at MAAC Championship…Co-recipient of Team’s Most Improved Award…MAAC All-Academic recipient.
2015 (Sophomore)
First year competing as Purple Eagle...Set personal best in the 5k at the St. John Fisher Invitational.
Before Niagara
Helf comes from North Tonawanda High School where she was a multi-sport athlete, participating in cross country, basketball, and lacrosse…She was a six-year letterman with the cross country team and was named team captain her senior season…She was named Tonawanda News Cross Country Runner of the Year, as well as an honorable mention for both Section VI NFL team and for the Scholar Athlete team as a senior…Her top time was 22:04 in a 5K, and was a scholar-athlete…Helf was a decorated member of the basketball team where she was named MVP as a sophomore…She was also named captain of the lacrosse team for three years, was a North Tonawanda Lady Jack award recipient, and Section VI first team defender in her junior season and a second team midfielder her senior year…In the classroom, she was selected into the National Honor Society, the Tri M Music Honor Society, was on the honor roll throughout high school, and Dean's List at NU in the spring of 2014 and fall of 2015.

Born in Buffalo, NY… Daughter of Jeffery and Michelle… Siblings Austin and Lauren… Currently majoring in Biology with hopes of going to medical school in order to become an orthopedic surgeon for a sports team.
