NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Niagara University men's basketball program welcomes the addition of
Ousmane Diop,
Justin Roberts, and
Raheem Solomon to the team. The trio joins
Steven Levnaic and
Marcus Hammond to the incoming class.

An athletic post-player with high potential, Diop comes to Niagara University after spending two years attending high school/preparatory schools in Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Diop, a Dakar, Senegal native, attended Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury, Conn. during the 2016-17 academic year. He was enrolled at Perkiomen School in Pennsburg, Penn. for the 2017-18 season. Diop also played on the prep circuit for Mass Rival Gold at the 2017 Adidas Uprising, where he was teammates with incoming freshman
Raheem Solomon; the duo also spent time together at Sacred Heart High School.

Justin Roberts | Junior | 5-foot-10 | Guard | Lawrence, Kansas | University of Toledo
Roberts arrives to Monteagle Ridge after playing two seasons at the University of Toledo. Roberts played in 64 games – while starting in two – for the Rockets, averaging 1.6 points in 8.9 minutes per game. Roberts shot over 40 percent from the field and 42 percent from the 3-point line while having a 2.9 assist/turnover ratio in two seasons. Prior to attending Toledo, Roberts was a standout at Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Kan. He finished his four-year career as the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,549 points, was named Sunflower League Player of the Year and earned Kansas Basketball Coaches Association First Team All-State honors. Roberts will have to sit out the 2018-19 season due to NCAA transfer rules.

Raheem Solomon | Freshman | 6-foot-2 | Guard | Hartford, Conn. | Sacred Heart High School
Solomon brings championship pedigree to the program after a stellar four-year career at Sacred Heart High School in Hartford, Conn. Solomon helped Sacred Heart to three state championships and claimed the Naugatuck Valley League (NVL) championships in each of his four seasons. Solomon, who went undefeated in league games, was named the 2018 NVL Player of the Year (Connie Donahue Award) and the Republican American's Hoop Zone Player of the Year. Solomon leaves Sacred Heart as the school's third all-time leading scorer with 1,538 points.
