CHICAGO – Incoming Niagara soccer freshman Colin Hanley has been named 2014-15 Gatorade Louisiana Boys Soccer Player of the Year by the Gatorade Company and USA Today High School Sports.
 
Hanley, a 6-foot, 175-pound goalkeeper, collected 21 shutouts and recorded a 0.3 goals against average to lead St. Paul's School to a 31-0-3 record this season. He was named both a First Team All-State selection and the Defensive MVP of Division 1.
 
The Gatorade player of the year also takes academic standing into account. Hanley has maintained a 4.16 GPA in the classroom and has volunteered on behalf of youth soccer programs as a member of the Mu Alpha Theta mathematics honor society.
 
Having been named the Gatorade Louisiana Boys Soccer Player of the Year, Hanley is now in the running for the Gatorade National Player of the Year Award.
