TicketsThe Niagara Purple Eagles return to conference play against the Iona Gaels on Friday, Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. in a nationally televised broadcast on ESPNU at the Gallagher Center.
After winning two straight games, including against defending MAAC champion Manhattan, NU is in a midst of a four-game losing streak. The Purple Eagles will look to halt a three-game skid to the Gaels, which includes falling in the final seconds, 90-89, in the most recent meeting which was played at the Gallagher Center.
Tipoff Tidbits• Wesley Myers has scored in double figures in nine of the last 10 games. Myers set career-high scoring marks in consecutive games with 21 at Siena (Jan. 8) and 22 at Manhattan (Jan. 10)
• Ramone Snowden is one of six players in the nation to lead his team in points (11.0 ppg), rebounds (6.2 rpg), blocks (eight) and assists (39).
• NU shot 67 percent from the field in the first half against Manhattan on Jan. 10 for its highest percentage in a half since shooting 67 percent in the second half against Northwestern State on Feb. 2, 2013.
• Matt Scott was named MAAC Rookie Of The Week on Jan. 5 after averaging 10 points per game, 3.3 rebounds per game and 2.0 assists per game. Scott is the first freshman to win rookie of the week honors since TJ Cline won the award three times during the 2012-13 season.
• Dominique Reid had game and career-highs with 18 points and with 11 rebounds en route to his first career double-double against Monmouth on Jan. 4.
• The freshman trio of Matt Scott, Karonn Davis and Dominique Reid accounted for 49 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists in the 73-61 win over Manhattan. Scott scored a game-high and Purple Eagle season-high 23 points, Davis added 14 points and six rebounds, while Reid scored 12 points and had a team- and career-best five assists.
• Niagara had five players – Rayvon Harris, Ramone Snowden, Emile Blackman, Wesley Myers and Dominique Reid - in double figures against Arkansas State for the first time since Feb. 7, 2014 against Iona.
• Ramone Snowden dished out a career-high seven assists against Arkansas State. The seven assists are the most since Tahjere McCall had seven versus Manhattan on Feb. 9, 2014.
• The Purple Eagles had season-highs in points (73), first half points (42), field goal percentage (59.5%), 3-point field goal percentage (53.8%) and in assists (21) in the win over Manhattan.
• Niagara's 21 assists against Manhattan on Jan. 2 are the most since having 21 versus Saint Peter's on March 2, 2013.
• Niagara had a season-high +10 rebound margin in the win over Albany.
• According to KenPom.com, Niagara is the
FIFTH youngest team in the nation. NU has 13 underclassmen on the roster.

• Iona once again ranks near the top of several offensive stats in the country, including ranking third in points per game and 3-pointers per game, 12th in assists per game and leading the nation in 3-point field goal percentage.
• Iona has four players in double-figures scoring, including two averaging in 20-plus points in A.J. English (20.8) and David Laury (20.3).
