2014-15 MAAC Basketball ESPN Schedule

EDISON, N.J. – The Niagara men's and women's basketball programs will appear on the ESPN Networks a minimum of five times during the 2014-15 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) season as part of the league's partnership with the network announced on Wednesday. 

Each MAAC school is guaranteed a minimum of three men's appearances and one women's appearance. 

Both of the men's contests against archrival Canisius will air live on ESPN3. The first matchup will be on Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. as Niagara University officially unveils the naming of the Gallagher Center court for Frank and Barbara Layden. The second meeting will be a part of the ESPN3 doubleheader with the women on Feb. 24. The NU women will face Canisius at 5 p.m. followed by the men at 8 p.m. at the Koessler Athletic Center.

The NU women's second ESPN3 appearance will be at Saint Peter's on Jan. 29 with tip-off slated for 5 p.m. The Niagara men's home contest against Marist on Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. will appear on either ESPN3 or ESPNU.

There will also be "Wild Card" selections for games on Jan. 16 and 23, Feb. 6 and March 1. ESPN3 will broadcast the 2015 MAAC Championships beginning with the men's quarterfinals on March 7.

The Niagara men open the season on the road against the ACC's Pitt Panthers on Friday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. on ESPN3. The Purple Eagles will open their 66th season at the 'Tap's' Gallagher Center versus Hartford on Nov. 22 at 7 p.m.

The Niagara women begin their season on the road versus Youngstown State on Nov. 15 at 11 a.m. The Purple Eagles will have their home opener on Saturday, Nov. 29 in the first-ever meeting against Detroit.
