Kettrick Secures Student-Athlete of the Week Award


Past Student-Athlete of the Week Winners

NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. –  Aubrey Kettrick wrapped up her senior year on a solid note for the Niagara swim team, capturing the 200-yard freestyle title during the MAAC Swimming & Diving Championships to earn Student-Athlete of the Week honors. 

In the preliminary round of the event, the Watertown, N.Y. native swam a new Niagara record with a time of 1:52.33.  During finals, Kettrick was once again at the top, grabbing first with a time of 1:51.29 for another NU record and her first MAAC crown. 

During the first day of competition, she placed fifth in the 50-yard freestyle preliminary round (24.21) and then grabbed another fifth place finish in the finals with a time of 24.27. 

The 2012-13 All-Academic Team honoree had another strong showing in the pool during the final day of the Championships, swimming the 100-yard freestyle in 52.29 during the preliminary round for second place, before earning third place with a time of 52.19, .5 second short of the NU record.
