Past Student Athlete of the Week Winners

Adrian Ignagni pocketed his first career collegiate victory, backstopping the Purple Eagle defense to a 6-4 comeback victory over crosstown rival Canisius earning him Student-Athlete of the Week honors.
Ignagni was put to work in the second frame after the team fell behind 4-2 in the opening 20 minutes of play. The Mississauga, Ont. native shutout the Canisius offense, pushing aside all 18 Griffin shots en route to the win
in the season's first Atlantic Hockey game.
The freshman currently owns a 1-1-0 record on the season with a 1.22 goals-against average, and a .957 save percentage.
Ignagni and the Purple Eagles begin their five-game road trip against Robert Morris on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the RMU Island Sports Complex. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
