Before it officially began practice for the upcoming season, the Niagara men's basketball team spent time volunteering at the Magdalene Project at St. George's Church in Niagara Falls, N.Y. last week.

"We always look forward to helping others and this visit to St. George's Church gives our players an opportunity to do," said head coach Chris Casey. "I hope we had a chance to brighten up a few people days."

The team prepared, cooked and served food during its visit to the Magdalene Project, which is a non-profit ministry that helps people in need of food, clothing and toiletries.
