NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. - Niagara women's volleyball (7-7, 2-0 MAAC) player Ellen Senf has earned the Niagara Student-Athlete of the Week honors after helping the Purple Eagles to a sweep of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference foes Iona and Fairfield.
The St. Paul, Minn. native led the Purple Eagles attack with 25 kills and had a .351 hitting percentage in the two conference matches. Senf had eight kills in Niagara's straight-set win over Iona on Saturday and followed that performance with a career and match-high 17 kills in the sweep over Fairfield.
The back-to-back MAAC champions open up the home schedule against rival Canisius on Saturday at 2 p.m. and take on Syracuse at noon on Sunday.
