2011 NCAA Northeast Regionals Page
AMHERST, N.Y. - The Niagara cross country program will wrap up the 2011 season when it participates in the NCAA Northeast Regionals, hosted by the University at Buffalo on Saturday at the Audubon Golf Course.
The women's team finished in seventh place out of 10 teams at the 2011 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships. Niagara was led once again by sophomore
Kim Vona, who finished in 20th place out of a field of 116 runners and finished the 6k course in a time of 23:00. Behind Vona was sophomore
Stephanie Schmidt in 42nd place (24:23) and
Lindsey Phillips in 48th place (24:51).
The men's team finished in ninth place out of 10 teams at the 2011 MAAC Championships and was led by
Vincent Donner who finished in 40th place in a field of 130 runners and finished the 8k course in a time of 27:01. A place behind Donner was teammate
Sam Reedy (27:02), while
Nick Orlowski finished in 50th place overall (27:27).
The men's 10k race will begin at noon, while the women's 6k race will begin at 1:15 p.m.
