Outlook: After posting career-best times and finishes late in 2006, Will West should carry over that success into his junior season.
Sophomore (2006): West competed in four meets in 2006 and ran a personal-best time of 28:42.3 at the MAAC Championships (Oct. 27). His 11th-place finish at the Little Three Meet (Oct. 14) was the highest finish of his career.
Freshman (2005): West posted a season-best 29:11.5 at the MAAC Championships (Oct. 28), the second time he broke the 30-minute mark over 8K during the season. He competed in six races his first season, including the NCAA Northeast Region meet.
High School: West was a member of the Niagara-Wheatfield team that competed in the Niagara Frontier League.
Personal: The son of Bill and Gillian West, Will was born March 9, 1987, in Buffalo, N.Y. He has a younger brother, Brian. West is a management major.
