North Tonawanda, N.Y.- The Niagara men's tennis team picked up a big non conference game victory over the visiting Colgate Raiders on saturday afternoon, 6-1. The win marked there second win in as many days at home for the Purple Eagles. The double tandem of Jeremy Quiroz and Matt Kane picked up a tough point in the top doubles matchup as they defeated John Nogueras and Michael Yassky of Colgate, 9-8 (3). Both quiroz and Kane also picked up victories in their respective singles matches.

NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. - The Niagara men's team picked up its first wins of the season with dominating performances this weekend. The Purple Eagles blanked the Mercyhurst Lakers, 7-0, on Friday and defeated Youngstown State, 5-2, on Saturday.
Garcia Named Athlete of the Week NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. – Senior Erick Garcia (Oaxaca, Mexico) was named the Niagara University Athlete of the Week Monday after helping the men’s tennis team to a third-place finish at the 25th Annual Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Men’s Tennis Championship this past weekend.

Garcia Named Niagara University’s Athlete of the Week NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. – After sitting last season out with an injury, senior Erick Garcia (Oaxaca, Mexico) came back with a vengeance in his opening weekend of competition, and Monday earned Niagara University’s Athlete of the Week.

Abji Named Niagara Athlete of the Week NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. – Sophomore Alex Abji (Vancouver, B.C.), of the men’s tennis team, was named Niagara University Athlete of the Week Monday after helping the Purple Eagles win their spring season opener vs. Cleveland State this past Saturday.
The annual Niagara men’s alumni match is set for Friday, March 12 at the SportsPlex in North Tonawanda.
