EDISON, N.J. - Seven Purple Eagles are being honored as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced the 2008 Men's and Women's  Tennis All-MAAC Awards. Leading the pack is Walter Garcia (Oaxaca, Mexico) who was named the 2008 MAAC Player of the Year.

FLUSHING MEADOWS, N.Y. - The Niagara men's tennis team (10-9, 6-1) bowed out of the 2008 MAAC Tournament on Saturday when it lost to Fairfield, 5-2. The loss marks only the second team loss for the Purple Eagles to any conference opponent this year.

EDISON, N.J. - The Niagara men's and women's tennis teams placed seven student-athletes on the MAAC All-Acadmeic Team, as announced by the conference office on Friday. The men's team had two members on the list, while the women's team was represented by five student-athletes.
