BUFFALO, N.Y. - Senior right fielder Kristin Kill and sophomore pitcher Julie DiMatteo were named to the 2010 MAAC All Tournament Team. DiMatteo and Kill both were named to the All-Tournament Team last season.

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The No. 3 seed Niagara Purple Eagles defeated the fourth-seeded Manhattan Jaspers, 2-1, in eight innings in an elimination game at the 2010 MAAC Softball Championship on Friday afternoon at Demske Sports Complex. The Purple Eagles will play the No. 1 seed Canisius Golden Griffins in another elimination game at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
Healy Named Athlete of the Week NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. – Junior Tory Healy (Las Vegas, Nev.) was named the Niagara University Athlete of the Week Monday after helping the Purple Eagle softball team (18-18, 10-6) to a 3-1 week and to their first postseason bid and 10-win season since 2000.
