Glenn Hofmann is in his first year at Niagara as Associate Athletics Director for External Affairs.
At Niagara, Hofmann is responsible four oversight of event marketing, the corporate partnership program and will also be involved with the Purple & White Club.
Prior to arriving on Monteagle Ridge, Hofmann was the Senior Associate Director of Athletics for External Services and Advancement at Stony Brook University. Last season, he directed the external relations department at Stony Brook, overseeing all external services of the department, to include serving as the department’s chief fundraising officer charged with leading a capital fundraising campaign for athletics, including major gifts and the P.A.W.S. (Providing Athletes With Support) annual giving campaign. Additionally, he provided daily leadership and oversight to the areas of corporate sponsorship and relations, marketing and promotions, community relations, ticket operations and athletic communications.
Hofmann spent 16 years as an athletic administrator at Lehigh University. For seven years, Hofmann directed the external relations department, overseeing marketing and promotions, corporate sponsorship, community outreach, ticketing and athletic media relations while supervising 12 intercollegiate sports. As an Associate AD, Hofmann had programmatic oversight of men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s golf, and men’s and women’s swimming and diving. His responsibilities included performance appraisals, advancement and salaries while overseeing budgets and scheduling. He also served as a senior staff member, assisting the Director of Athletics in the development of departmental goals and strategies.
Directing an office of six staff members, Hofmann managed a $1-million budget that executed an integrated marketing plan for 24 NCAA Division I varsity sports, including nationally-ranked programs in wrestling and football. During his tenure, the Mountain Hawks led the Patriot League in football attendance for the past 10 years and was judged the “best game-day atmosphere” by The Sporting News. He also served as the game-day event manager for football and men’s and women’s basketball, overseeing all game-day personnel including ushers, vendors and facility staff.
He also managed the athletic department’s corporate sponsorship program which attracted 12 new sponsors and tripled net revenues over a six-year period. One of the partnerships he secured was the first collegiate marketing relationship with Majestic, the official supplier to Major League Baseball. He planned and coordinated all radio and television contracts which featured the weekly “Lehigh Sports Magazine Show” which was distributed regionally and nationally. In addition, he negotiated Lehigh’s annual radio and television contracts on a local, regional and national level and forged a successful partnership with FoxSports Pittsburgh. Hofmann also served as the liaison with the cheerleading team, the pep band, the Marching 97 school band and the dance team.
As part of Lehigh’s campus outreach efforts, Hofmann developed an innovative marketing program with Lehigh Colleges (Business, Engineering, Arts & Sciences, Education) which accentuated the academic and athletic accomplishments of student-athletes. He also coordinated the Lehigh Penske Athletics Hall of Fame selection and event planning.
Hofmann began his career as a sports information intern at Lehigh in 1989 and later assumed the role of Sports Information Director in 1991. He held that position for five years when he was promoted to the Assistant Athletics Director for Communications and Marketing. In his one year as an Assistant Athletic Director, he increased corporate revenue by 25 percent and coordinated the design and launch of the Lehigh’s new athletic logo and nickname. One year later, he was elevated to Associate Athletics Director for External Relations.
Throughout his career, Hofmann has served in several roles outside the Lehigh athletic department. He was the tournament director for the first and second round of the 2005 Patriot League Women’s Basketball Championship (1997, 2005) and the 1997 NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Championships. In addition, he assumed the role of media coordinator for the 1992 Patriot League Men’s and Women’s Basketball and the 1993 NCAA Cross Country Championships. He was also the corporate relations liaison for the Philadelphia Eagles Summer Training Camp at Lehigh University.
He is a 1988 graduate of St. Bonaventure University where he earned his bachelor of arts in mass communications. He later earned his master’s degree in sports management from East Stroudsburg in 2004.
 Molly Rallo Assistant Marketing & Promotions Director |
Molly Rallo begins her first year as Assistant Marketing and Promotions Director at Niagara University.
Rallo is responsible for coordinate all advance and game-day ticketing and sales operations, including new account sales and service, game-day hospitality and the Group Sales program in an effort to exceed sales and revenue goals. She also manages a select group of Niagara Athletic Corporate Partners and serves as a liaison between Niagara athletics and the local community, coordinating interaction with local organizations, service groups, schools and others. Rallo will also oversee day-to-day management of the marketing intern student staff.
Rallo comes to Monteagle Ridge from the Atlantic 10 Conference where she was a marketing assistant. While at the league office, she was responsible for four new Atlantic 10 corporate partners; design and coordination of all promotional activities related to the increase of ticket sales; and closed on 4,000 ticket sales.
Rallo implemented the first Girl Scouts Day at the 2005 A-10 Women’s Basketball Championship, coordinated promotions for the 2006 Atlantic 10 Men’s and Women’s Championships, and assisted in the organization of the 2006 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship in Philadelphia.
Rallo graduated from The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio, in 2005 with a degree in communication studies.
