Head Basketball Coach from 1931-43 and 1946-65. Also, Athletic Director from 1931-1969. Coached for 31 seasons, amassing a record of 465 wins, 261 losses good for a .640 winning percentage.

Coached 7 NIT teams.

During 1 period his teams won 50 consecutive home games.

He retired from coaching in 1963 and as Athletic Director in 1969.

He coached the history-making game against Siena in 1952-53 that went six overtimes for an 88-81 Niagara win, and an 87-77 upset over St. Bonaventure that ended a 99-game home winning streak.
