Coached at NU for 8 seasons from 1968 to 1976 posting 119-97.

Guided the team to an NCAA Appearance, and finished second in the NIT in 1972.

Served as General Manager and Head Coach for the Utah Jazz, (NBA).

He was named NBA Executive of the Year and Coach of the Year in 1984.

Awarded the Niagara's President Medal in 1986.
